Playing Blackjack with a Shuffle Machine

A lot of casinos nowadays use shuffle machines in order to shuffle the cards up for blackjack. The reason they use this is because it increases the hands per hour significantly which means more entertainment for the players and generally more profit for the casino, which makes this a win-win situation. Generally the blackjack table will use one shoe of cards while the other shoe is being shuffled and then after a set time the decks are switched. There have been some people who have found that shuffle machines are easy to beat and you should be able to make profit when playing on a table using a shuffle machine. Generally these tables are even or player biased which means you can make some money playing on these tables. The idea is to watch the game for a good 10-15 minutes and watch how many hands the dealer is winning. Usually when a ShuffleMaster Machine is being used the table is even with the dealer, meaning that one hand the dealer wins and one hand the player wins. With this in mind, you need to watch the table and see if the dealer and the players are going one for one. If the dealer wins three or more consecutive hands then this table isn’t ideal for sitting down at.

Once you find a table that is neutral between the players and the dealer then you should down at the table and get your chips. You have two options of playing these types of tables when looking to make profit. The first way you can play is by flat-betting every hand, and look to make your money from double downs, splitting pairs and blackjacks. Generally you can make a very small hourly profit from playing this way, but some profit is better then no profit and you also aren’t risking much this way.

The other way you can play is with a progression style of betting. Generally players use the 1-2-4 progression betting style, but you can use any progression increments you want. The idea of a progression playing style is that when you lose a hand you double your bet. On a neutral table you usually won’t lose a consecutive hand which is why you double your bet when you lose a hand. If you lose three hands in a row then you need to switch internet blackjack tables as you haven’t chosen a neutral enough table. Using the progression betting style will allow for a lot more profits to be made, but it also increases your risk amount. Another note to take is that whenever you win a hand then you go back to your minimum bet and you only double the bet after you lose a hand.

This style isn’t going to work all the time, but many blackjack strategy players have used these strategies to beat ShuffleMaster Machines and some have even won thousands in a day. These players got caught for doing what they did, but it goes to show you that these machines offer a player an advantage in most cases.
